I am interested in finding out where you get your money and time to continuously run these hate-inciting ads against ACT UP/SF? These ads simply reflect the desperation that many AIDS service organizations, the gay media and hate groups such as yours are feeling. To find it necessary to flush people (and mostly people with no credibility) out of the woodwork, by placing these ads and getting them to possibly "think" they may have seen violence and harrassment via ACT UP/SF is sheer madness.

Do you not have anyhting to spend money on- say, homeless gay men with AIDS, to help them with medical costs or housing? Or do you have so much money to throw around that a little extra on hate ads means nothing?

If anyone needs to be sued for harrassment, it is surely your group and everyone who has signed their names to your outrageous petions. And this includes those who work for ASO's, [AIDS service organizations] who are known barebackers, drug users, and have been physically violent towards others. This would also include people who work directly with the mayor's office.

Actually, your group may be better off using that flawed indicator system, which Mitch Katz and Tom Coates frequently uses to inflate San Francisco's HIV numbers worldwide, to determine who may have been harrassed or who may have experienced violence by ACT UP/SF. Talk about whimsical numbers!

In conclusion, what is really happening here is that your integrity is being challenged; and the only way to strike back at ACT UP/SF is through revenge by printing ads begging people to come forward. This way, the screws are kept tightened and word gets out to others with critical thnking, that this is what will happen to them.

This is nothing more than terrorism at its worst, because it is pitting gay brothers against one another, while at the same time trying to do away with specific groups of people and their right to free speech, to assemble and to protest. Hmmmm... sounds like Hitler all over again. I wouldn't be so proud.
